Apocalyptica Finnish cello metal band will come in Bucharest to perform an exquisite show, marking the 20th anniversary of their debut studio album (released on May 1996), “Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos”.
The event is due at Sala Palatului on April 6 at 8 p.m. and is also occasioned by Finland’s centennial celebration this year.
The Finnish band will perform all songs from their epic debut album, as well as other Metallica hits. Apocalyptica will also perform for the first time reinterpretations of “Battery”, “Nothing Else Mattersʺ and “Seek and Destroy”.
The members of the band provide an original approach of the Metallica hits, adding a successful style and career.
The band, formed in 1993, is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lotjonen and Perttu Kivilaasko (graduates of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki) and drummer Mikko Siren. They have sold over four million albums to date.
