The Lugoj-Deva highway’s bed has collapsed on a length of 70 metres. The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) has sent a team on site to check the situation.
CNAIR spokesperson Alin Serbanescu said the bed had collapsed near Holdea locality in Hunedoara county on Thursday, on a length of 70 metres and width of 11 metres.
“The damage is on a length of 70 metres and a width of 11 metres. A control team has been sent there to review the situation and establish the causes that produced the incident and to present a report,” the CNAIR spokespersons stated.
CNAIR has asked the constructor to remedy the situation. “We hope reparation will be in due time so that the completion deadline is observed. It happened at km 57, in Holdea village, Hunedoara county,” Serbanescu explained.
The Lugoj-Deva highway section is scheduled for opening this year.
