Legislation improvement on corporate governance, the establishment and development of Sovereign Development and Investment Fund (FSDI), the revitalization of some sectors with high potential for economic growth are the main topics discussed on Friday by Economy Minister Alexandru Petrescu and World Bank Country Manager for Romania and Hungary, Elisabetta Capannelli.
“I’m determined to implement everything that I have acquired as experience in business management in developing economical performant projects. I will handle with the utmost caution the FSDI coordination and I assure all project partners for all the support, transparency and involvement of the ministry I head,” Alexandru Petrescu stated, a press release informs.
World Bank official expressed her appreciation to the Minister of Economy intentions regarding the training and development of the strategy set out in 109/2011 Ordinance on corporate governance.
However, the WB representatives offered their full support and readiness for cooperation in structuring Sovereign Development and Investment Fund, which will determine investment prioritization of and revitalization of Romanian economy’s key sectors.
