Corporations have begun reserving offices in advance for 4,000 employees

Real estate developers have not finished any new office building in Bucharest in Q3 this year, and yet corporations wishing to expand or enter the Romanian market have reserved an area of 37,000 square meters in buildings undergoing construction , because they want to recruit about 4,000 employees.

Overall, the companies have leased spaces with a cumulative area of 68,000 square meters, up by 5% against the same period of the previous year, according to an analysis of Cushman & Wakefield Echinox real estate consultancy company, quoted by capital.ro.

Of the area traded, the renewals amount to almost 8,000 square meters, the relocation covers approximately 23,000 square meters, while spaces with a surface area of approximately 37,000 square meters were leased by companies that expand or have decided to start new operations in Bucharest , with recruitment plans for approximately 4,000 jobs.

Given that the office stock in Bucharest remained constant, the vacancy rate has dropped to about 8.2%, as compared with 9.3% at the middle of the year.
