Czech group Penta Investments is in advanced talks with the shareholders of A & D Pharma, the largest pharma group in Romania, sources on the market said, zf.ro informs. The negotiations are focused on selling the distribution and retail businesses.
A&D Pharma owns the Mediplus drug store and the Sensiblu drugstores chain.
”The due diligence process of the company owned by Lebanese citizens started a month ago, would come to an end very soon,” the sources said.
If the negotiations would materialize, it would be about a transaction of EUR 300-400 million.
The Czechs investors have previously negotiated a takeover of A & D Pharma more than five years ago, but then the deal fell.
