Tink Labs Limited, one of Hong Kong’s most successful startups that revolutionizes travel and tourism, has partnered with Epoque Hotel to offer its mobile travel solution handy to its guests, extending its global network of hotel group partners, a press release informs.
“handy fits seamlessly into our hospitality credo, being both a highly functional solution as well as a customized indulgence, an “on-the-go” personal concierge. Free WiFi is already a basic feature, while connectivity remains a key factor for travelers throughout their stay. With handy, we have succeeded in both enhancing our guests’ experience and increasing engagement with their needs and preferences, which always translates into sustainable guest loyalty,” says Diana Popescu (photo), CEO of Epoque Hotel.
handy devices, first launched in September 2012, help to deliver hassle free travels and meet a growing demand for Internet connection services. Connected travelers are on the rise, with a recent global research indicating that 46 percent of global travelers said free in-room Wi-Fi is a must-have amenity, which means they will look elsewhere if an accommodation does not provide connectivity.
Tink Labs flagship’ innovative smartphone, handy, is a complimentary amenity integrating with hotel services and offering travelers unlimited connectivity on the go, as well as tailored travel guides.
“We believe that keeping guests connected to their destinations is crucial to delivering an enriched experience for the traveler, hotelier and the city itself as a tourist destination. That is why we plan to offer handy to travelers in dozens of new markets in the year ahead,” Terence Kwok, Founder and CEO of Tink Labs states.
Starting August 2017, Epoque Hotel guests can enjoy the free connectivity and services provided by handy. To date, handy is already available, covering over 100,000 rooms and helped over 10 million global travelers to stay connected across 20 cities. The service is a trusted partner of other leading hotel groups including Ritz-Carlton, Intercontinental, Sheraton, and more.
Beyond enabling travelers with connectivity, handy helps local hoteliers differentiate and unleash untapped revenue potential, creating a personalized experience to retain customers. Consumer usage in other markets has demonstrated that handy extends the hotel service footprint and increases the use of hotel services, boosting incremental revenues by approximately 20 percent.
handy has also helped to elevate the quantity and quality of customer satisfaction, increasing Trip Advisor ratings by an average of 0.31, which translates to a 3.4 percent increase in Revenue per available room (RevPAR). The platform’s data and analytics will also help hotel partners like Hotel Epoque better understand their customers to provide more personalized services and increase hotel service utilization.
As one of the top three largest startups in Hong Kong, Tink Labs raised USD 125 million in its latest round of funding to expand globally, with investors including FIH Mobile, Sinovation Ventures and Cai Wensheng.
