A 40-year-old woman from Botosani county, northeastern Romania, has died in hospital after being diagnosed with flu.
The woman had no anti-flu vaccine and had medical records. The Health Direction officials say the woman had come to the hospital too late. She was hospitalized last week with flu suspicion, and lab tests have confirmed the influenza virus.
She was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit and she has died on Monday.
It’s the third death caused by flu reported during this cold season in Romania.
