The 24th edition of the IWA Charity Christmas Bazaar will take place at Romexpo, pavilion C3 on Sunday, December 11, during 11:00-16:00. The charitable event is organized by the International Women’s Association in Romania (IWA) under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cultural traditions, from dance and music to handicrafts and cuisine customs, will turn the visitors’ day in a special experience and take them on a journey around the world, while also inviting them to join the generous idea of giving the people in need a chance to a decent living.
Around 400 volunteers in over 60 countries will join their forces on December 11 to build an event that is a proof of solidarity, empathy, diversity and cultural diplomacy.
Like every year, the international community in Romania answered the IWA invitation to support local projects where the organization is involved. Participant countries will display their traditional items, while the funds raising from the sales will go to charitable NGOs like Asociatia Free, Casa Ioana, Asociatia de Medicina Pentru Sanatate Publica, Asociatia Sfantul Stefan, Asociația de Terapie Comportamentală Aplicată, Casa Shalom, Nightingale Children Project, Touched Romania.
The event on Sunday is chaired by H.E. Mrs. Merica Vidiš, honorary president of the Christmas Bazaar, by Marina Coandă Bundac, the president of the Christmas Bazaar and by Terry O’Donnell Parsons, IWA President.
IWA is a non-profit NGO, set up in 1978, consisting in women originating from the diplomatic corps accredited in Romania but also in representatives of the cultural and business community representing 37 countries.
