The Special Committee for laws of justice Chairman, Florin Iordache, has said on Tuesday that the Social-Democratic Party (PSD) gives up the setting up of the National Council for Magistrates’ Integrity and that the Judicial Inspectorate with legal personality under the authority of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM).
“The fear that we shift the Judicial Inspectorate under Justice Ministry’s authority vanishes. We’ve only launched the debate in public space,” Iordache said.
He added that PSD is giving up the article regarding the setting up of the National Council for Magistrates’ Integrity.
Article 65 will remain in force instead, will be amended and will read: “the Judicial Inspectorate is an organism with legal personality within the Superior Council of Magistracy, with head offices in Bucharest.”
