Liam McIntyre (Spartacus: War of the Damned, Hercules, Gears of War) and Harvey Keitel (Reservoir’s Dogs, Taxi Driver, Dusk Till Dawn, Oscar nomination for the part in Bugsy), are cast in See You Soon, next to Jenia Tanaeva, in her first leading role in a feature film. The movie also marks David Mahmoudieh’s debut as film director.
The shootings are currently under way in Romania, Greece and Russia.
Tanaeva is also co-signing the script next to Mike Cestari. The romantic drama is produced by Jenia Tanaeva (See You Soon Project LLC) and Monella Kaplan (eMotion Entertainment).
Gabi Ilioiu and Iuliana Tarnovețchi are producers for Europe, while Alexander Mikhalskiy is the executive producer. Alien Film provided the productions services for Europe.
“See You Soon” is a contemporary romance, telling Ryan’s story. Ryan is an American football player who, while recovering from an accident that jeopardize his career, meets Lana, a single mom. The two are embarking on a beautiful love story. Also starring in the film are Poppy Drayton (Downton Abbey, The Little Mermaid), Oleg Taktarov (Predators, 15 Minutes) and the legendary Spanish footballer Carles Puyol.
