Social Democrat Party chairman stated on Friday that he is a target of the anti-corruption chief prosecutor, Laura Codruta Kovesi, saying he is expecting to be investigated for anything. Liviu Dragnea denied again any connection to Tel Drum.
“I am expecting to be investigated by Mrs. Kovesi for anything happens in this country. And if it’s raining. They have been talking about Tel Drum for 12 years. It’s the 12th investigation, I don’t have anything to do with that company, but I have just had enough,” Liviu Dragnea said, adding that he will give further details in the future.
Asked why his former wife, Bombonica Prodan was heard at DNA, Dragnea answered: “Because she was my wife. She is sent to court because she was my wife. I am waiting for the events to happen. If they think I have a memory loss, they have another thing coming!”, Dragnea said.
The National Anti-corruption Directorate has been recently notified ex-officio in a new criminal file for corruption deeds regarding aspects contained in the journalistic investigation on Dragnea’s alleged affairs released by Rise Project.
At the same time, PSD chairman commented the criminal prosecution against former leader of the Teleorman County Council, Adrian Gadea in the file where Gadea is charged with abuse of office for renting areas of Belina island on the Danube. Dragnea said he has understood nothing from the DNA press release, adding that he doesn’t know where the mistake is in this case.
“I have also read the DNA release and I haven’t understood a thing. It’s a plot of land transferred from a public authority and the transfer also includes the rights and obligations. I don’t know where the mistake is,” Dragnea said.
