Naspers, the South African group, owner of eMAG, OLX and Autovit, has sold the websites Compari.ro, Arukereso.hu and Pazaruvaj.com to Rockaway Group.
Through this acquisition Rockaway Group has made another step to achieving the goal of becoming the leader of online trade in the region, capital.ro reports. “This transaction is important from several points of view, because by purchasing the websites Compari.ro, Arukereso.hu and Pazaruvaj.com we have taken steps to achieve the position of market leader. The Rockaway Group owns comparators on the booming markets, so in the future the exchange of experiences and information and the sharing will facilitate both growth and positive experience for the users,” said Jakub Havrlant, General Manager of Rockaway Group.
The comparator website Heureka, also owned by Rockaway Group, is the leader on the Czech and Slovak markets. By acquiring the Romanian website Compari.ro, the Hungarian website Arukereso.hu and the Bulgarian website Pazaruvaj.com, Rockaway Group counts three more websites, each one leader in their countries.
Compari.ro, leader comparator on the Romanian market, is also an online shopping guide, which comes to help the users since 2005. Currently, the visitors can see the offers of nearly 1,000 online stores and can search among more than 4.5 million products.
“The goal of the website compari.ro is to strengthen the market leader position and to facilitate the development of electronic trade in Romania. Through continuous development, we want to enhance the quality of service provided both to the online partner stores and to the users,” said Csaba Rácz, Compari.ro General Manager.
