PM Tudose met Ford’s officials: Gov’t wants a better collaboration with the business environment

Prime Minister Mihai Tudose welcomed today at Victoria Palace a delegation of Ford, led by US company Vice President Andrew McCall, stating that the Romanian government wants a better and ongoing collaboration with the business environment.

‘Romania is a country with opportunities for new investments and developing ongoing projects. The government wants a better and continuous collaboration with the business environment in order to develop a sustainable economy,” the head of the Executive said.

At the same time, Tudose mentioned that infrastructure is one of three priorities, and the Gov’t focuses on accelerating road infrastructure projects.

“We are aware that the development of the infrastructure is beneficial not only for a specific investment, but also for Romania’s development,” Tudose added.

During the meeting, Andrew McCall presented the development stage of Ford’s investment and the company’s future projects for the plant in Craiova.

”Ford remains committed to looking for opportunities to build other products in Craiova and make better use of our factory’s production capacity. It is very important to work with the Romanian Government to ensure that the Craiova plant remains competitive globally as we advance with our plans in Romania,” McCall said
