Therme Bucharest wellness center, Europe’s largest thermal complex opened in 2016, is launching the largest urban beach in the region – Sands of Therme, Wund Group, the owner of the project announced.
The total investment of the project amounts to EUR 5 million and places Bucharest in the select league of European capitals with urban beaches such as Lisbon, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Moscow.
Visitors can enjoy a 30,000 square metres beach as well as other attractions that recreate the summer holiday atmosphere: tropical pool, 1,500 sandy loungers, over 600 palm trees, 40 olive trees, football and volleyball courts and a Concept Beach Club.
Located 15 minutes away from the capital, Sands of Therme Beach welcomes its visitors with the water at a constant temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and is 1.26 meters deep.
At the end of last year, Therme Bucharest wellness project expanded the Galaxy area for families, by 4,000 square meters, following an investment of over EUR 10 million.
