Over 1,000 people from Cluj have signed a petition asking for the Untold festival’s relocation from the city center. The objectors complained that the festival is abusively occupying the public spaces and is blocking the traffic, all in all restricting the residents’ right to live in their own city.
“The same way other Cluj festivals such as Electric Castle or MOX can be held outside the city, we, the citizens of Cluj-Napoca and the neighbouring districts, support the relocation of Untold from the city center. As it is organized now, the festival is restricting the locals’ rights to the city by abusively occupying the public spaces (parks and parking), by unavailingly blocking the traffic and through the sound pollution for several days,” reads the protesters’ complaint.
Untold festival is due from Thursday, August 3 until Sunday, August 6. DJ Armin van Buuren is the headliner of the 2017 edition, and Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Ellie Goulding, Hurst and Mￃ are among the confirmed performers.
The concerts will take place on nine stages and start at 12:00 every day and last after midnight. The price for one day is RON 250, and the four-day pass is RON 550, plus fees.
