Polish Sylwia Piankowska was appointed General Manager of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare for Romania and Balkans, a press release informs on Wednesday.
She is replacing Helen Tomlinson who took over the General Manager position of GSK Consumer Healthcare Iberia.
Sylwia Piankowska will lead GSK Consumer Healthcare operations in 8 countries and a team of over 100 employees, with the goal of continuing the growth in the region.
“I’m very enthusiastic to coordinate the operations in Romania and Balkans and to strengthen the efforts made by Helen and her entire team so far. We want to further develop strong partnerships with our customers and healthcare professionals to help more and more consumers to do more, feel better and live longer. Also, on a personal level, I am very happy to have the opportunity to move to Bucharest with my family and explore this wonderful country,” Piankowska stated.
She has acquired serious commercial experience in the FMCG sector. Since joining GSK in August 2002, she held several strategic positions in brand and category management in Poland and in Central and Eastern Europe.
