Tax return form 600 targeting people who had incomes from independent activities, postponed

Tax return form no 600, the blank that gave a rough time to hundreds of thousands of Romanians was delayed until March 1. It could be amended so that current difficulties should be deleted.

PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea announced on Monday that the new government is to adopt an emergency ordinance in its first sitting to delay the subsmission deadline from January 31 to March 1.

Tax return form 600 should have been filed by January-end by all those who obtained incomes from independent activities equal to at least 12 minimum salaries a year.

Moreover, amendments are in store related to the ceiling aiming at cutting it from RON 1,900 per month to RON 22,800 per year, so that less people should be compelled to file the blank to National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF).

The tax revenue body had previously announced that the form could be filed also online as of January 15, which was meant to save people from coming to ANAF.

Incomes from independent activities were considered those coming from renting, agricultural and fishing activities, associations with legal persons, investments or copyright.

However, people complained the content of the form was not clear. The ANAF website could not be accessed this morning, as it was blocked following high number of downloads.
