Teraplast files for RON 65 M state aid to invest in production capacities

Board of Directors of PVC processor Teraplast inform its shareholders and potential investors about the decision to file for government assistance in order to develop an investment project in amount of RON 65.63 million, according to a notice published on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) site

The investment project aims the establishment of a new production plant in the current location, Bistrita-Nasaud County, Teraplast Industrial Park.

In the first six months of the year, Teraplast has recorded consolidated revenues of RON 192.76 million, 17.46 percent above the level of RON 164.11 million in the same period last year, while net profit amounted to RON 19.06 million, 52.22 percent higher than the RON 12.52 million in H1 2015.

Teraplast is currently one of the largest PVC processor in Romania and one of the leading producers of materials for installations and constructions market. The product portfolio of the company comprises three business lines: installation & design, window profiles and granules.

In the past years the company has invested over EUR 36 million in development and upgrading the production facilities. Currently the company operates in Teraplast Industrial Park, located unincorporated area of Bistrita Municipality, with an area of over 20 hectares.

As of 2008 Teraplast is listed on the BVB.
