Tourists can take pictures with bears, wolves and lynxes at Rasnov from a special observatory. How much does the adventure cost?

Tourists visiting Râşnov, Brasov County (central Romania) can go to a special observatory, built in an area that offers spectacular landscapes on the Valea Lunga. For EUR 25 they can see for several hours wild animals: bears, wolves or wild boars.

Rasnov has decided to continue tourism investments so that they attract mountain lovers, but especially those who want to see the wild animals in their natural habitat, informs bzb.ro.

One of these investments is a bear observatory, set in an area that offers spectacular landscapes on the Valea Lunga, along Cheile Rasnoavei.rasnov adapost 2

The observatory is about 25 square meters, and can host about 20 people.

From this safe place, tourists can admire the big carnivores, can take pictures, film mainly bears, but also wolves, wild boars or even lynxes.

The fee to be paid by the tourists is EUR 25/person, the observatory is administered by the Forestry District of Rasnov.

Gheorghe Puiu, Head of the Râşnov Forestry District, says that the wildlife observation season is between March and November, and tourists are accompanied by a hunting master who ensures there is no risk to visitors, carrying a hunting gun, to avoid the risk of an incident.

The observatory’s planning started three months ago, and the investment, which was fully covered by the Forestry District’s budget, amounted to RON 30,000.
