Romanian businessman Ioan Popa, owner of Transavia, one of the biggest domestic poultry producers, opens Theodora Golf Club – the biggest golf resort in Romania, covering 62 ha, a press release informs.
Located in Teleac, Alba County, the golf resort is an investment of EUR 15 million and offers several unique accommodation and relaxation facilities, rated at 4-star+ standard.
”Theodora Golf Club is a project with long-term vision, born of the passion for golf, a sport I practice for over 10 years. The complex aims to become a destination on the Romanian tourism map and to increase the tourist potential of the area, at the national and international level due to its excellent positioning, right in the heart of the country, in one of the most valuable Romanian areas,” Ioan Popa stated.
According to him, the construction works lasted two years and the golf course with 18 paths, covering 56 hectares, will be open for the players next spring. The golf course will have the longest route in Europe – PAR 6, 735 meters.
Theodora Golf Club also includes 14 villas with 82 double rooms, which will be available for reservation starting from October 15th.
