Qualified for the second consecutive year to the Final Four tournament in Budapest, CSM Bucharest will face Vardar Skopje in the Champions League semi-finals, according to the draw on Tuesday in Budapest. There are the same teams as in 2016 and the same schedule in the semi-finals:
Buducnost vs. Gyor
CSM Bucharest vs. Vardar
The matches will be played at the ‘Papp Laszlo Sportarena’ in Budapest.
The Final Four tournament (which will bring together the best four teams in Europe: Gyor, HC Vardar, Buducnost and CSM Bucharest) will take place in Budapest during May 6-7.
CSM Bucharest qualified to the Final Four tournament in the Champions League for the second time in a row, after defeating on Saturday Ferencvaros TC-Rail Cargo Hungaria 27-26 in Budapest.
Last year, CSM Bucharest defeated Vardar 27-21 in the semi-finals and Gyori Auto ETO KC 29-26 in the final.
