Three earthquakes have taken place on the night of Monday to Tuesday in Vrancea region. The first one, the biggest, took place after midnight, followed by two smaller quakes.
The biggest quake took place at 0.15h and had 3.8 degrees on Richter scale, at the depth of 125.5 km, the National Earth-physics Institute (INFP) informs.
The closest towns to the epicentre are (12 km), Covasna (45 km), Întorsura Buzăului (45 km), Mizil (47 km), Vălenii de Munte (50 km).
The second quake occurred at 04.52h in Vrancea at a depth of 22 km, had a magnitude of 2.1 degrees on Richter scale.
At 05.45 a third quake occurred in Vrancea County, with the magnitude of 2.2, at the depth of 30 km.
