3D video mapping show iMapp and Rod Stewart concert at the Bucharest Days 2018

Bucharest Days are kicking off on Friday night, bringing the 5th edition of the 3D video mapping show iMapp Bucharest, but also concerts performed by renowned artists such as Rod Stewart, Hurts and Gheorghe Zamfir.

The event takes place in Constitutiei Square on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, every day as of 5 p.m., and the access is free upon availability.

Friday night is booked for folk, symphony music, film, concerts by famous sopranos and tenors, a performance by renowned pan flute musician Gheorghe Zamfir, and another one by French artist Enrico Macias.

The fifth edition of iMapp Bucharest is due on Saturday, with the show being projected on 23,000 sqm of the Palace of Parliament.

The finalist teams this year are Sila Sveta from Russia, Go2 Productions from Canada, LosRomeras and OTUCINEMA from Spain, NullPixel from Mexico, SKG Media from China, United Motion Labs from Austria, Mindscape Studio from Romania, OCUBO from Portugal, ArtZebs from Ukraine and  Vision Impossible from the Netherlands.

Before the 3V video mapping contest, British band Hurts will perform in Constitutiei Square, as well as British synth-pop duo Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson. The Mono Jacks will open the night party, and DJ CS84 will take over the bar to entertain the audience.

The events will end on Sunday with Rod Stewart’s performance, with Vunk in the opening act.

Road traffic will be restricted in Bucharest during the weekend, in Constitutiei Square until September 26, Libertatii Blvd until September 25. Traffic on Unirii Blvd will be restricted from September 21, 5 p.m. until September 24, 6 a.m.
