The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was of 4.5% in June, slightly down against the previous month (4.6%), the National Statistics Institute (INS) informs on Tuesday.
The unemployment rate for men was by 0.9 percentage points higher than for women.
The number of unemployed aged 15-74 estimated for June 2018 was of 404,000 persons, down against the previous month (413,000) and against the same month last year (455,000).
By gender, the unemployment rate for men was by 0.9% higher than the one for women (4.9% and 4% respectively).
For adult persons, aged 25-74, the unemployment rate was estimated at 3.6% in June 2018 (3.9% for men and 3.2% for women). The number of unemployed aged 25-74 represented 74.3% of the overall number of unemployed in June.
