Romanian Bogdan Grecu is appointed CEO of ArcelorMittal Galati and ArcelorMittal Skopje, the company announced on Wednesday. He is replacing Bruno Ribo who held this position since 2012.
The activity of both units and those included in the separation package will be led by a “manager of the units held separately” and monitored by a “supervisor” appointed in agreement with the representatives of the European Commission.
“All our activities will continue as usual in the coming months of transition and readiness for sale,” said Bogdan Grecu, CEO ArcelorMittal Galati – Skopie units.
Bogdan Grecu has joined the steel mill in Galati in 2001 and as of 2012 he became member of the ArcelorMittal Galati Management Committee. In this position, he has coordinated various activities such as: Internal Audit, Purchasing, Logistics, Investment, IT, Automation, Supply Chain.
ArcelorMittal, world‘s leading integrated steel and mining company, officially announced recently that will sell its plants across Europe, including the unit in Galati, former Sidex, in order to acquire Ilva steel plant in Italy.
