Adela Smeu, CEO Brico Depot Romania was appointed by Britain’s Kingfisher, Europe’s largest DIY retailer, as CEO of Praktiker Romania, a company taken over at the end of last year.
Smeu will continue to lead as well Brico Depot (formerly Bricostore) businesses, part of Kingfisher portfolio as of 2013.
She was named CEO of Brico Depot Romania in the spring of last year, replacing Christian Mazauric, who became CEO B&Q UK & Ireland within Kingfisher. Adela was at that moment Finance Director of Brico Depot in Romania, having joined the business in 2015 from the Obi group, where she was the Director of Finance and Administration for eight years.
