Agista growth fund announces the purchase of a minority stake in Centrokinetic network of medical clinics

Agista growth investment fund, in the process of being authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority, announces the signing of the contract for a minority package from the Centrokinetic network of medical clinics, specializing in orthopedics, neurology and medical rehabilitation, in order to support national expansion plans and contribute to strengthening the network’s presence on the medical services market. The signing of the transaction confirms Agista’s mission to invest capital in minority stakes in Romanian companies with regional scaling potential. The transaction is subject to the approval of the Competition Council.

Founded in 2016 by the orthopedic doctor Andrei Bogdan, the Centrokinetic network of medical clinics exceeded last year a turnover of 4.5 million euros, with an EBITDA of 600,000 euros.

“Centrokinetik is one of the most appreciated orthopedic and medical rehabilitation clinics in Bucharest, with a strong team of specialists and a sustainable and robust business model. We aim to contribute to the development of the business and the expansion of the network of clinics at the national level, scaling the business model and, at the same time, maintaining the quality of the services offered. Agista’s entry into Centrokinetic’s shareholding means the beginning of a new chapter of growth in the company’s life and a good opportunity to put into practice Agista’s mission to transform the company into a regional player”, said Nicolae Kovacs, CEO Agista.

Centrokinetic offers a wide range of medical recovery services for adults and children, with a team of over 110 doctors and therapists specialized in orthopedic and neurological conditions, with three clinics located in Bucharest.

“The partnership with Agista is an important step in the development strategy of the Centrokinetic medical network. From the time of launch in 2017 until now, the growth of the company has been organic, natural. Our constant focus has been and will continue to be the level of the therapeutic act, embodied in medical recovery with the best possible result for each patient who uses the clinic’s services. But the collaboration with Agista represents for us an opportunity and a commitment to accelerate the development of the company. Because we feel that our duty is not only to create a performance system in medical recovery in Romania, but also to allow as many patients as possible access to a correct medical recovery, by increasing the number of clinics and coverage offered by Centrokinetic,” said Bogdan Andrei, Medical Director and founder of Centrokinetic.

AGISTA joins Centrokinetic as a strategic development partner with consistent expertise in the area of business scaling, and which can offer concrete solutions to streamline internal business processes and growth opportunities by accessing its own resources.

The Agista growth investment fund, under authorization at the Financial Supervisory Authority, a brand launched by Impetum Group, supports with capital and know-how those Romanian SMEs whose products and services are or become essential for society. As a minority shareholder, Agista invests tickets between 2-5 million euros and acts as an anchor investor, with a strategic role, having a representative on the board of the companies in the portfolio, contributing to their rapid and healthy development. Through the partnership with Agista, a company benefits from customized solutions, guidance and networking, having a growth partner next to it in the perspective of becoming a regional champion.
