The prices have dropped by 0.24% in February compared to the first month if the year, so the annual inflation rate was minus 2.7%, reads a release issued by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
Compared to January, the prices of foodstuff were up by 0.3 pc, while the non-food goods dropped by 0.2% and the services’ prices also dropped by 1.1%.
“In January 2016, the share of goods and services registering a fall in prices compared to February 2015 is 59.3%, while the share of those registering a price increase from 0 to 2.5% was 24.1%. The goods and services whose prices have increased by more than 2.5% have a share of 16.6%,” reads the INS release.
