Groupe Renault appoints Antoine Doucerain as the new General Manager of Automobile Dacia and Renault Romania, effective as of May 1, 2018, a press release informs. He is replacing Yves Caracatzanis, who will take over another position within the Groupe Renault. Caracatzanis became GM Dacia and Renault Romania in April 2016.
Doucerain will report to Nicolas Maure, Director of Operations of Groupe Renault for the Eurasia region, including Romania.
“Groupe Renault is an important company in Romania, a successful one. I would like to thank and congratulate Yves Caracatzanis for his involvement, leading the talented teams in Romania: the new Duster’s industrial and commercial launch – the Dacia brand exceeds its own historical sales records in Europe, and our Global Access business model from design to after-sales is an indisputable asset to Groupe Renault. I count on Antoine Doucerain to maintain this dynamic, because Romania, more than ever, has a key role in Groupe Renault’s strategic development plan – <Drive the Future>,” Nicolas Maure says.
Antoine Doucerain joins Renault in 1993 at the Logistics Engineering Division. He continues his career in Manufacturing, first at the Douai plant, where he has successively occupied the positions Chief of Assembly, Technical Director, Deputy Manufacturing Manufacturing Director, and later in 2010, he is appointed director of the Maubeuge plant, where he oversees the Kangoo ZE launch and the preparation of the Citan model for Daimler. In 2012, he goes to Brazil to coordinate the development of a new Nissan plant and start production of Micra and Versa models. May 2015 returns to France as Industrial Manager, overseeing 8 Renault plants (Industrial Pole Vest), with a high level of performance.
