Bavarian economic delegation visits Romania these days

Franz Josef Pschierer, State Secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, along with a delegation of 30 representatives of the Bavarian economy, spend three days in Romania, during May 10-13, a press release of German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) informs.

On this occasion, there will be organized a series of meetings aimed at enhancing economic relations between Romania and Bavaria and open up new areas of cooperation.

Key areas targeted by this delegation are automotive, IT, environmental technology and machinery and installations industry.

“Especially in the field of infrastructure and environmental technologies in Romania there is still enough potential,” Secretary of State Pschierer said.

Delegation program foresees the participation of its members in political meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development, Secretaries of State in the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of European Funds and the Mayor of Cluj-Napoca.

There will also be individual meetings with representatives of more than 100 Romanian companies within scholarships cooperation organized by AHK Romania in Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest, the release also reads.

This initiative is the result of the upward trend of trade between Bavaria and Romania in recent years, Bavaria being the most actively federal land in Romania.

With a trade volume of EUR 4.7 billion in 2015, Bavaria is among Romania’s most important trading partners, ranking the fourth after Italy, Hungary and France.
