Catalin Dumitru, the new Chairman of Rompetrol Rafinare’s Board of Directors

As of February 10, 2017, Catalin Dumitru was appointed in the position of Chairman of Rompetrol Rafinare’s Board of Directors, and Alexey Golovin was named member of the Board of Directors, until the next Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders,  a press release informs.

Romanian-born Dumitru is replacing Azamat Zhangulov who renounced at the mandate of member of the Board of Directors and to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors.

At the same time, Azamat Zhangulov, the acting Senior Vice-President of KMG International, was promoted as Senior Vice-President for Sales and Marketing within KazMunayGas, the national oil & gas company of Kazakhstan, the sole shareholder of KMG International.

Catalin Dumitru graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Finance, Banking and Accountancy. Dumitru joined the Group in 2002, as Finance Manager for two of the Group’s companies, Rominserv and Ecomaster. Based on his management qualities, in 2008, Dumitru was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dyneff Group, where he successfully coordinated the activities of storage, trading and distribution of the products for consumers and partners in Western Europe.

As of 2014, he is the Vice-President of the KMG International Group, and as of November 2016 he occupies the position of Group Senior Vice-President. He was elected as member of the Board of Directors of Rompetrol Rafinare in the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on April 28th, 2016 for a mandate valid until April 30th, 2018.
