91% of 200 European leaders, who recently participated in a survey conducted at the European level by the HR consultancy group Arthur Hunt and the company Bona Fide from France, believe their organizations will undergo moderate to major transformations by 2030. Only 1% of them stated that they will not make any transformation within the companies they lead in the next six years.
Faced with a dynamic and unpredictable economic environment, leaders are forced to adjust their organizational structure and business strategies, to strengthen their resilience in the face of current economic challenges.
Current changes involve optimizing internal processes to streamline resources and reduce costs, investing in innovation to ensure stability in a volatile period, increasing focus on customer needs, developing and strengthening strategic partnerships and adapting to legislative changes (eg: sugar tax, sustainability constraints etc.). Moreover, some companies have strategically expanded or relocated their production bases to other countries to remain competitive in the market.
On the other hand, according to the same survey, the need for accelerated integration of technologies in organizations is the primary concern for 84% of executives, while 80% anticipate challenges relating to the new generations in the teams, who no longer take long-term commitments and require greater flexibility in terms of schedule and employment contract.
In this context, large organizations invest in preparing the leaders of the future and enhancing their leadership skills, as emphasized by the specialists at Arthur Hunt Romania.
“The leaders of the future must first and foremost be agile, easily adapting to market challenges and navigating unpredictable environments. On the other hand, emotional intelligence is another essential skill for managers: they need to accurately understand and manage both their own emotions and those of others, especially when making decisions or developing partnerships strategic. Developing emotional intelligence should be a priority for any leader right now. The right mindset can make the difference in these uncertain times between success and failure”, declares Sorin Roibu, Managing Partner of Arthur Hunt Romania.
According to a Harvard Business School study, in 4 out of 10 global companies, the primary focus is on preparing managers to acquire skills to navigate future competitive and strategic challenges. These challenges include globalization, risk management, talent shortages, responses to market changes or adapting to climate change.
