The Romanian subsidiary of Swedish green space equipment manufacturer Husqvarna announces the launch of its third premium Concept Store in Romania, located in Feleacu, near Cluj-Napoca. The new 355 sqm store will open to the public on June 18, following an investment exceeding €1 million. The location was chosen not only for its proximity to Cluj-Napoca, but also for easy access to surrounding areas, including Turda.
“Cluj-Napoca is surrounded by growing rural and peri-urban zones where demand for gardening and machinery equipment is rising. Given that Husqvarna offers tools for gardening, forestry, and construction, Cluj-Napoca is a natural and necessary choice for expanding our distribution network,” said Emil Țînț, CEO of Husqvarna Romania.
The Feleacu store will provide access to Husqvarna’s full range of products available in Romania — from robotic lawn mowers and battery-powered trimmers to forestry, construction, and sports turf maintenance equipment. The store also features a fully equipped service workshop for repairs and maintenance.
Sustainability and energy efficiency are key focuses. “We’re seeing growing preference for eco-friendly, silent, battery-powered solutions — especially in urban settings. Romanian customers are increasingly conscious of their carbon footprint and overall quality of life,” Emil Țînț added.
With a national network of around 800 employees and over 200 partner stores, Husqvarna views Romania as a major driver for regional growth. The company sees strong potential in the rural-urban mix, large agricultural land area, and increasing demand for automation and smart tools. “Romania is an attractive market, with a demographic and economic profile that supports sector growth. We see real opportunities not just in retail, but also in consumer education, digitalization, and post-sales expansion,” company representatives emphasized.
Following openings in Bucharest and Bistrița, Cluj becomes the third Romanian city with a Husqvarna Concept Store. A fourth location is set to open soon in Constanța. Despite macroeconomic volatility, the company sees this expansion as a market test for future local investments.
The new Cluj store is expected to attract 500–600 visitors per month, with seasonal peaks in spring and fall. The target audience includes homeowners, landscaping companies, local authorities, and entrepreneurs in forestry and construction.
“The Romanian market is maturing, with a solid customer base and growing demand for innovation. However, it still needs better consumer education, extended post-sale infrastructure, and improved access to premium products outside large cities. Fragmentation caused by intense competition — especially from low-cost brands — leads many customers to prioritize price over quality. Small farmers and households often lack access to fast repair centers, leasing, or financing. These challenges can be addressed through education, awareness, better funding access, expanded service networks, and digitalization — with institutional support,” Emil Țînț concluded.
