There are plans to transform Kromberg & Schubert in the largest foreign employer in the Sibiu County, turnulsfatului.ro informs. Increasing the number of employees comes after the expansion of the manufacturing facilities, expansion completed last year. “We believe in Medias, in the potential of this city, otherwise this extension would not have been made. Currently, there are 2,300 employees. I hope to reach 4,000 employees by the end of this year. Thus we’ll have a fairly consistent recruitment this year. In principle, it is the planning for the next decade, “says Ciprian Hanea, general manager of the company.

Companies in the IT industry will remain one of the main employers in the county. Currently, the companies in the county employ around 6,000 people.
On the short term the number of persons to be employed in these companies will go up to at least 1,500. Already some companies have started extensive recruitment campaigns early this year.
Municipalities and ?imnicu de sus, Mischii of the Dolj County and Vulpeni in Olt County will be, from 2016, less spending in terms of electric power. That’s because a fully functional photovoltaic park that will be built in Mischii to serve all three communes that will make savings of RON 200,000 per year each. The park will provide public lighting and lighting for public institutions. The tender procedure was launched, and the project should be completed by the end of 2015, gds.ro informs.
The project, carried out with European funds by the City Hall of Mischii, which has allocated a plot of 2.5 hectares for the park will be built. The auction was already launched and in early February the tenders will be opened. Mischii Mayor Gheorghe Popa, explained the advantages of this park. “Throughout this plateau which has south-facing, a photovoltaic park will be constructed. The land has an area of 2.5 hectares; the park will have a photovoltaic power bellow a megawatt, i.e. 0.7 megawatts. It will be operational as of 1 January 2016.” The mayor said.
