Ryanair – policy change, no more luggages free of charge

Low-cost airline company Ryanair has announced on Friday that, as of November 1, 2018, all passengers will have to pay between EUR 6-10 to take on board a hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg.

The passengers will be able to take on board, free of charge, only a small baggage that fits under the front seat, digi24.ro informs.

For hand luggage of up to 10 kilograms and which were allowed free of charge for those who paid priority boarding, the passengers would pay a GBP 6 fee. And for hold luggage, the price will be, as before, of GBP 25.

The company says the decision aims to improve punctuality and to cut down delays. Passengers will be motivated to travel only with small baggage, which will significantly reduce the boarding time. Ryanair operates airline flights on five airports in Romania.
