Tel Drum company, insolvent and sued for frauds with European funds, has won the second contract this year from the Teleorman County Council. The contract, worth RON 13 million, is about road construction and aims at upgrading County Road DJ 612 Calinesti (DJ 703) – Antonesti, km 48+080 – 55+594 (7.514 km).
The contract was concluded on Wednesday by simplified procedure, according to the Electronic System for Public procurement (SEAP), ziare.com informs.
The contract also includes technical design, completion of works, the task book reads.
‘Apele Romane’ fined Tel Drum in March by RON 412,155, about EUR 90,000, following an unannounced control which revealed that the company extracted 9,220 cubic meters of gravel without authorization. Tel Drum challenged these penalties, but the Teleorman Court has ruled that state employees were right when they fined the company.
