The Competition Council has approved the transaction through which OMV Petrom S.A. intends to outsource certain tubular material reconditioning and transportation services, along with the assets and employees serving them, to Bonatti S.p.A. Parma Bucharest Branch.
Bonatti S.p.A. Parma Bucharest Branch, part of the Bonatti Group, engages in auxiliary services related to crude oil and natural gas extraction.
Bonatti S.p.A, Italy, as the parent company of the Bonatti Group, specializes in construction works for fluid utility projects.
OMV Petrom engages in crude oil extraction and operates across the entire energy value chain: from oil and natural gas exploration and production to fuel refining and distribution, electricity generation, and the marketing of natural gas and electricity.
“Following its analysis, the Competition Council determined that this operation does not raise significant barriers to effective competition in the Romanian market or a substantial part of it, and that there are no serious concerns regarding its compatibility with a competitive market environment.
The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority after the removal of confidential information,” says the Council in a press release.
