Continental expands to Iasi, seeks for 250 engineers and IT specialists by year-end

German automotive group Continental continues the development of its team in Iasi. By the end of the year, 250 positions are available for engineers and IT specialists who can work on the three megatrends of the automotive industry: connectivity, electrification and autonomous driving, a press release informs.

Starting March, as a result of the increase in the number of employees, Continental’s R&D center in Iasi has expanded its activity in the fourth rented building. There are over 1,800 employees in Iasi.

Continental Iasi is the largest employer of technical graduates from Iasi. For the coming years, an increase in both new projects and the number of employees is planned.

”Projects such as cruising chauffeur, trained parking, door control unit, intelligent LED headlamps, Automated Driving Control Unit, top-of-the-line multimedia systems, smart Internet access antennas enabling automatic updating of the over-the-air of car’s software, thermal engine control systems or 12V network stabilization systems have positioned us as an attractive employer in the automotive industry,” explained Marian Petrescu, manager of Continental’s R&D center in Iasi.
