E-commerce in Romania, up by 20 pc in 2016

Domestic B2B e-commerce will continue on an upward trend in 2016, reaching EUR 12 billion, 20 percent more than last year, according to a survey developed by Teamshare, agerpres.ro informs.

Currently, IT & C, both on the hardware and software, home appliances, auto, home & deco, fashion and related agriculture products have the largest share in B2B e-commerce in Romania, last two domains recording an accelerated growth.

According to the survey, at present, increasingly many local B2B sites use integrated platforms with ERP and marketplaces with online payment systems and courier firms, persuaded by the opportunities offered by online retail, which grows at a rate faster than offline, as well as by the automation need of processes and costs cuts of operating orders.
