Romania’s largest online retailer eMAG invests RON 300 million in a 120,000-square meter warehouse which will be built in Giurgiu County, a press release informs.
With a capacity of 3 million products, eMAG’s warehouse in Giurgiu will be the largest unit in Southeast Europe and is dedicated to medium and large bulk products (TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, etc.).
In addition to the storage space, much of the investment was allocated to automated sorting technology and delivery.
eMAG’s new warehouse will be completed in early 2019.
The Giurgiu warehouse represents the first stage of a major long-term investment plan, which will brings over 4,000 new jobs, the local online retailer announces.
