European IT company Endava has hired Eoin Woods from UBS to take up the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), as part of the strategy to enable the growth of the organisation.
„The role of CTO at Endava will involve defining technical direction within the firm and to key clients, by identifying emerging technical trends and discerning how Endava can help clients to capitalise on the opportunities that they present,” a press release reads.
Eoin Woods has already begun a series of visits to all Endava delivery centres in Eastern Europe. He met with Endava’s technical teams in Cluj at the end of February and has other visits scheduled in April and May to Iasi and Bucharest offices.
„ (…) I’m looking forward to working with our talented technical staff in Romania, Moldova and Macedonia, to support them in developing our leading-edge capability that drives the quality and efficiency of our clients’ technology and platforms (…),” Endava’s new CTO said.
At UBS Eoin held a number of senior technology positions, most recently Head of Technical Architecture for Group Operations Technology. In this role he was instrumental in setting technical strategy for the group and implementing industry and technical standards across the software development teams. Prior to UBS he worked in capital markets at Barclays Global Investors and in software product development at Sybase, InterTrust, and Bull.
