Nova Power & Gas and Electrogrup, companies member of E-INFRA Group, has announced the start of construction works of the first power plant based on natural gas in Câmpia Turzii, Cluj county, within a EUR 7 million project.
“The power plant in Campia Turzii will use a power of 13.4 MW, and this is our first step, we also intend to develop here a power plant based on natural gas with a capacity of over 100 MW. We plan to expand in the near future also in the solar-generated energy, for an additional sustainability and a minimum impact on the environment”, said Mircea Bica, CEO Nova Power & Gas.
The private electricity project includes an electric energy ensemble consisting of two power plants equipped with generators with gas engines, with an individual capacity of 6.72 MW.
“We are building from the scratch a project that represents the future and that will contribute to a better stability of the energy system in Câmpia Turzii,” added Adrian Florea, CEO Electrogrup.
Electrogrup has kicked off works in early December and they are expected to last 5 months. The power plant will be located in the Reif Industrial Park.
