Banca Transilvania Group: Updates in Top Management

Following the National Bank of Romania’s approvals, Luminița Runcan is the new CEO of OTP Bank Romania, appointed by Banca Transilvania to oversee the integration of OTP Romania into the BT Group, while Cătălin Caragea is the new Deputy CEO – Chief Risk Officer at Banca Transilvania.

“In her vast experience in the banking sector, Luminița Runcan has held a number of management positions at Banca Transilvania, including Deputy General Manager Treasury and Deputy General Manager Risk Management. At the same time, Luminița Runcan is a member of the Board of Directors of several BT Group companies, as well as the President of the Romanian Financial Markets Association, Vice President of the Romanian Banking Association and Treasurer at AmCham Romania. He is one of the first 13 employees of Banca Transilvania, having made a significant contribution since the very beginning of BT’s activity,” says a BT press release.

Cătălin Caragea has received the NBR’s approval for the position of Deputy Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer at Banca Transilvania.

“Cătălin Caragea comes to the Banca Transilvania Group with over 20 years of experience in risk management, in banks in Romania and abroad – at Raiffeisen Bank Romania, BCR and Erste Group Vienna. At Banca Transilvania, she will coordinate the risk management area, including compliance, anti-fraud, information and technology security, risk and credit analysis and operational risk management,” says the press release.
