Cash payments to be limited by April: Daily ceiling of RON 10,000 for companies and authorised persons

The bill limiting cash payments will be applied by next month, after receiving the go-ahead from the Chamber of Deputies on March 11, 2015. The final provisions of the law are that it would go into force 30 days after publication in the Official Gazette, informs.

Thus, the firms, the authorised persons (PFA), freelancers, self-employed persons, associations and other entities without legal personality can make payments and receipts up to RON 5,000 per day from a person, but not to exceed a maximum daily total of RON 10,000. Cash-in and payments of the cash & carry stores are not to exceed RON 10,000 per day from a person.

Payments in advance for settlement will be up to RON 5,000 per person.

Fragmented cash receipts from customers for bills over RON 5,000 will be forbidden, as well as for bills of RON 10,000 for cash and carry stores, and the fragmentation of invoices for supply of goods or provision of services for over RON 5,000, respectively RON 10,000.

The Chamber of Deputies adopted on Wednesday, by the final vote, the bill that limits cash receipts and payments made by companies.
