Barcelona’s top player Lionel Messi has filmed a commercial promoting the Romanian bank Banca Transilvania and Mastercard. Messi features in the commercial as shopping online and offline and paying with a card of the Romanian bank.
“Maybe you could not believe it, but it’s real.☺️Messi took a STAR Card from BT and he’s using it everywhere 😇 Continuous shopping innings all the way!”, Banca Transilvania said in a Facebook post.
Messi was among the world’s highest-paid soccer players in 2019, as well, according to Forbes, with USD 127 million earned last year.
Lionel Messi has also partnered with MGO to launch his own fashion brand. MGO, whose creative director is Ginny Hilfiger, sister of designer Tommy Hilfiger, will launch an ecommerce portal called ‘the Messi Store’.
