Domestic capital market, to the attention of investors interested in emerging Europe

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) participates during December 2-3 at WOOD’s Winter in Prague – Emerging Europe Conference, to meet and discuss with investors interested in the CEE region and the emerging markets. During the 2 days, BVB has a group presentation focused on Romanian capital market reform and its goal of becoming an emerging market by MSCI criteria, 1on1 meetings with institutional investors representing more than EUR 10 billion AuM, and will host an investment dinner on December 3. The aim is to build a dialogue between investors and important individuals with insight into the emerging European markets.

The conference brings together key decision makers and money managers active in emerging Europe. This 3rd edition of the WOOD Winter Conference in Prague strives once again to deepen understanding of the regional investment climate and provide a platform for fruitful discussion.

Last year’s conference connected 97 companies with 134 investors from 88 investment houses in more than 2000 meetings over four days. This year will be even bigger, with over 100 companies in attendance.

WOOD is one of the most active remote members of BVB, ranking 3rd in 2014 YTD by market share (10.99 percent of the total traded value). WOOD and Company is a member of the BVB market making program since its launch, January 2014, offering market making service for the shares of 7 companies: Banca Transilvania, BRD-Groupe Societe Generale, Electrica, Fondul Proprietatea, OMV Petrom, Romgaz and Transgaz.
