The reference rate for USD announced by the central bank has climbed on Wednesday, for the fourth consecutive session and reached a record of RON 4.0041, while the EUR exchange rate has fallen slightly to RON 4.4542 from RON 4.4551.
The exchange rate for the USD has increased by 1.49% as compared to the reference rate on Tuesday of RON 3.9892. The former USD record level was recorded on January 23, when the USD was quoted to RON 3.9980.
The RON has continued to lose ground against the Swiss franc, the exchange rate climber by RON 0.94 from RON 4.1501/CHF to RON 4.1595/CHF.
