Wholesale turnover (except for trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles) decreased in nominal terms in April 2015 against the previous month, both as gross series by 8.1%, and as adjusted series by number of working days and seasonality by 2.7%, the National Statistics Institute (INS) informed on Monday.
The decrease of wholesale turnover unadjusted series was generated by the decline in wholesale of information and communication equipment (-19.7%), wholesale of agricultural raw materials and live animals (-16 %), wholesale of other goods (-11.5%), wholesale of consumer goods other than food (-10.8%), wholesale of other machinery, equipment and supplies (-10%), wholesale trade (-6.8%) and brokerage activities in wholesale trade (-4.8%).
Wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 2.5% in April 2015 as compared to the previous month.
Decreases were registered wholesale of consumer goods other than food (-4.9%) and wholesale of other goods (-1.1%).
