In a culture where success is often seen as the only form of validation, Fuckup Nights Bucharest opens a dialogue about an essential but often neglected dimension of professional progress: failure.

Oana Pascu, Tudor Cosăceanu, Dragoș Ekart, and Călin Cindea will bring their failures’ valuable lessons into the spotlight. They will reveal how they turned difficult moments into starting points for success, presenting the strategies and thinking that allowed them to turn obstacles into opportunities for growth.

“On the journey to any notable achievement, we will make countless mistakes and encounter countless obstacles. Failures are inevitable and essential in the process of achieving what we perceive as success. At Fuckup Nights Bucharest, we acknowledge and celebrate these failures, understanding that every misstep and every dead end brings us closer to our desired achievements,” says Diana Iosu, founder of DiFine PR, the organizer of the event.

Oana Pascu is the founder of Complice.ro, a provider and curator of memorable experiences for companies and individuals. Complice.ro offers experiential solutions integrated into recognition, reward or motivation strategies, from corporate awards and gifts to experiential events. With over 15 years of experience in corporate and team management, for the past 7 years Oana has dedicated herself to entrepreneurship, providing clients with experiences that support professional growth and personal development.

Oana looks at failure from two distinct perspectives, “The first is failures with immediate effects: these provide a tremendous learning opportunity, and the second is dangerous failures: which you realise late, and the effects are often serious and hard to repair.”

Tudor Cosăceanu is Vice President for Romania and Moldova at UiPath, a leading software automation and AI company. With over 15 years of experience in various roles in the enterprise software industry, Tudor started his career at Oracle, later holding senior positions at companies such as SoftwareOne and Noventiq. As of 2023, he is contributing to UiPath’s expansion and success in the region, supporting the effort of Romanian companies and public sector organizations to adopt AI-driven automation and benefit from increased efficiency, productivity and job satisfaction. He works closely with UiPath’s local implementation partners to further strengthen the automation ecosystem in Romania. His extensive experience focuses on investment strategies and strategic leadership in IT, reflecting a career dedicated to innovation and technology development.

For Tudor, failure is an integral part of the professional development process. He says: “You don’t have to be afraid to express your ideas if you think they are right, even if you can get fired for it.”

Dragos Ekart is the founder of CyberAxo Agency, a company that provides innovative solutions in the field of online marketing and technology. He started his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 20, inspired by the desire to continue his family’s tradition of entrepreneurship and push his boundaries. Dragos has explored a variety of fields, from software and e-commerce to online marketing. What started as a modest project in a one-room flat quickly turned into a modern office in the northern part of Bucharest. Now, Dragoș leads a team of 10 professionals dedicated to national and international clients across multiple sectors, offering customized and innovative solutions.

For Dragos, failure is an essential part of the learning and development process. He believes that “there are two main ways in which people learn: by imitating others and by their own failures. Failure is an essential element in the learning process because it provides us with valuable lessons that cannot be learned otherwise. The information we gain is more valuable than gold, and to accumulate it we need a few steps: imitation, failure and learning. The more information we accumulate, the better equipped we are to meet the growing challenges.”

Călin Cindea, co-founder of Maidan, began his entrepreneurial journey inspired by an eye-opening trip to Nepal. This experience gave him the courage to step out of his comfort zone and explore new horizons, leading him on the path to professional independence over the past 8 years. Călin believes that stepping out of one’s comfort zone and discovering new perspectives are essential for continuous growth and evolution, aspects that have shaped his entrepreneurial career.

For Călin, every success is the result of a long string of failures. He firmly believes that the ability to overcome failure is the defining trait of successful entrepreneurs. This perspective motivates him to look at every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow, and he considers this essential in his professional journey.
