German Holding Mutares Acquires New Factory in Romania

The German holding company Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has signed the documents by which it takes over the assets of the German company S.M.A. Metalltechnik GmbH & Co. KG, including its factory in Oradea, Profit.ro informs.

SMA Metalltechnik Oradea is a supplier of pipe systems for the automotive industry. In 2023, the last year reported, it had a turnover of 128 million lei and a net profit of 1.4 million lei, with 309 employees.

Previously, Mutares took over the Sealynx International business, including the assets in Romania, from the French group GMD. Sealynx International owned factories in Romania, France and Morocco, as well as a joint venture in Algeria, with over 700 employees and annual revenues of 65 million euros.
